Job Summary
The Collector will have the primary responsibility of contacting customers on account payments and working with team members to resolve discrepancies; this may, at times, involve some clerical assignments.
The successful candidate will work to manage the collection of accounts receivable and account reconciliation and will review and resolve payment discrepancies as necessary.
This role will be assigned to our asset based location in Oakwood, GA where we recently acquired Crane Transport, Inc.
and will transitions to Titanium Transportation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate with clients using all forms of contact
Manage all levels of client relations matters specific to collections, including general inquiries and overall credit management
With the use of various software, manage customer database and monitor all account activities, including investigating payment discrepancies
Enforce prompt action on overdue accounts and engage in appropriate means of collection activities
Process client payments using various POS systems and coordinate payment information updates and customer account changes as assigned
Maintain and update filing and database systems
Job Requirements
3-5 years of experience working in a Collections role
Proficient with the use of a computer, including Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to be assertive and manage escalated customer interactions, as necessary
Ability to work with and manage confidential information and use independent judgment
Preferred
Completion of post-secondary studies in related field
Experience working within the transportation industry and with Great Plains and TMW software
Previous experience in supply chain\logistics environment would be considered an asset
