Camp Blue Skies is a non-profit, residential camp for adults (age 21 and up) with mild to moderate developmental disabilities.
Our mission is to enhance campers’ lives through recreation, socialization, and life skills education.
Camp offers opportunities to make new friends, experience new activities, and HAVE FUN for our campers, staff, and volunteers alike.
We are looking for Lead Cabin Counselors to function as the primary point person for a cabin of 2 - 3 counselors and 5 -7 campers at the beautiful NEW west campus of Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge Georgia.
With the full support of on-site trained staff, this role participates in cabin life by both staying in the cabin overnight and supporting campers throughout the day during group activities and programs.
*Requirements:*
* Be at least 21 years old
* Have substantial experience working/interacting with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the skills to support and prompt campers if needed
* Must pass a background check and provide references
* Complete orientation/training (virtually prior to camp and in-person the day before camp)
* Ability to participate in typical camp activities (zipline, fishing, nature-walk, etc.
)

*Lead Cabin Counselors are paid $600 per completed session and are encouraged to participate in as many sessions as possible.
Eligible for an additional $600 bonus upon completion of four camp sessions.
