Caregiver/Teacher Assistant

Responsibilities: - Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans - Provide support and supervision to students in the classroom - Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment - Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies - Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs - Support students with their academic and social-emotional development - Provide one-on-one or small group instruction as needed - Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for lessons and activities - Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher Skills: - Experience working in a preschool or daycare setting - Knowledge of special education principles and practices - Strong classroom management skills - Proficiency in math concepts relevant to early childhood education - Familiarity with curriculum development for young children - Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment - Experience working with children with autism or other special needs is a plus - Knowledge of toddler care and development Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
