Athens Driving Prep is an elite driving school which specializes in private in-car driving lessons for new drivers.
We service most of Oconee and Clarke Counties.
Our clients are primarily teen and young adult drivers, as well as international adults.
With distracted driving on the rise, it is imperative that our new drivers are given a solid and thorough driving education; we achieve this by using a tried and true in-car training curriculum, lesson plans, and detailed progress reports.
As a state-licensed driving instructor, you will be entirely responsible for the safety of yourself, your student, and the instructional car at all times.
- You will be responsible for becoming a licensed driving instructor through the State of Georgia, which can take six to eight weeks - Part-time piecework to be paid per lesson taught (usually two hours long each) - Perfect for teachers, retirees, or as a special for LEO’s who want to supplement their current income and do not need benefits - Flexible schedule - This is a small family business and we are all about quality.
We want our clients and our instructors to be safe, comfortable, and happy Minimums: - Need to have held a driver’s license for at least ten years and have a very good DMV record - Prefer to have additional driving credentials such as Class A/B, E/F, M, extensive racing time, or EVOC training - Must pass national background/ fingerprint check, drug test, and DOT physical (cost to be reimbursed after teaching ten lessons) - Must pass state exam and be accepted as a licensed instructor by Regulatory Compliance division of the Georgia Department of Driver Services (we will help you with this process) - Should have some prior teaching or coaching experience, be able to stay calm and have patience, and enjoy working with teens and young adults - There will be six unpaid hours of observation and then up to forty hours of paid training to be completed at trainee pay level Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.

This involves a national background check, fingerprinting, DMV check, DOT physical, drug screening, and a lengthy written state exam.
