Selling an Ibanez AZ224F.
This is a truly special instrument, and is part of Ibanez's desirable Premium range.
If you're like me and want a Stratocaster style guitar, but have gotten fed up with Fender's quality control and inflated prices, this is the guitar for you.
The specs are as follows:
- Roasted maple neck with jumbo stainless frets
- Maple cap over lightweight basswood body
- Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups
- Gotoh locking tuners
- Gotoh 2-point floating tremolo bridge
- Luminlay side dots on neck for low-light visibility
- Master volume and tone controls with dyna-MIX 9 switch
The specs are impressive, but they don't tell the whole story.
This guitar looks, plays, and sounds phenomenal.
If you know Ibanez, you know playability is what they do.
This is one of the best necks I have ever felt.
It's a nice full D profile--not the usual thin shredder neck.
Frets are in perfect shape, and likely always will be due to the stainless wire used.
The body is light and the guitar is balanced.
It rings loudly and clearly.
The pickups are a great middle-ground that capture classic Strat tones and stay nice and tight when driven.
You can push a good deal of gain through them and they remain articulate.
If Jimi were alive today, he'd play one of these.
Flip the dyna-MIX switch and you get four additional pickup configurations for increased versatility.
It's a phrase that get's overused a lot in the industry, but this guitar really can get any tone you need.
The condition is very good.

The typical neck pocket finish cracks are there.
I've had it verified that these cracks are only in the poly; they are not in the wood.
Research Ibanez bolt-ons and you'll find that they all have them.
This is due to the very tight neck pocket that Ibanez uses which yields that amazing resonance and solid feel.
All of this and a nice Ibanez gig bag for $800.
If you're looking at Suhr and wondering how much plasma you'd need to sell to make that work, this will get you there for a quarter of the cost.
This guitar is leaps and bounds above any comparably priced Fender or Charvel.
It's a pro-level instrument.
These were made in 2018 and 2019, but have been discontinued.

Note that these sold new in the pre-COVID market for $1299, and I cannot find a single one online anywhere for less than a thousand (without a bag).
